Introducing Jessica, the radio intern you've been waiting to meet!

During my final year at Massey University, I had the incredible opportunity to embark on an internship at Wellington Access Radio. This immersive experience opened the doors to the vast and captivating world of radio, providing me with invaluable practical knowledge and skills. As I took on the responsibilities of managing a radio show, I not only learned about the inner workings of the radio industry but also discovered profound aspects about myself. This unforgettable journey solidified my passion for radio and affirmed my decision to pursue a rewarding career in this field.

Currently, I am thrilled to be hosting the midday show on Waves 96.1, where I am an integral part of the dynamic afternoon duo known as the "Daily Double J." Every time we step into the studio, our goal is to bring joy to our listeners' day, and I find great fulfilment in the entertainment medium that radio provides. Additionally, I am actively involved in the creative team at Waves 96.1, indulging in my love for writing by crafting engaging advertisements that shape the perceptions of brands and businesses featured on our station.

In reflection, my experiences at Wellington Access Radio and Waves 96.1 have not only reinforced my unwavering commitment to pursuing a career in radio but have also bolstered my confidence in my abilities. I am eager to make a meaningful impact within the media industry and continue to explore the boundless possibilities that radio has to offer.
