I have loved creating content for others to enjoy since I was little. Whether it was creating thriller and crime iMovie trailers, filming music videos, or performing in the annual talent show, I would turn up for the occasion.

The fondness I had for creating content continued into high school when I would write monologues and plays during speech and drama lessons and film endless amounts of TikToks during lunchtime.

A game changer in my life was the day I realised I could get paid for creating content. From this moment I was on the hunt for Social Media Marketing jobs. Over the past 2 years, I have worked part-time filming TikToks, editing photos, and creating content calendars for restaurants, bakeries, nightclubs, and music festivals.

Naturally, choosing to major in Producing and Digital this year was a no-brainer for me. During my time at NZBS I have been creating content left, right and centre and couldn’t be happier! iMovie quickly turned into Premiere Pro, and script writing turned into planning voice breaks.

I am “Producer Ella” for The Morning Mingle (9 am-12 pm). I am a hard-working and reliable member of the team and have developed excellent organisation skills through this role. I’ve enjoyed the experience of planning shows, working to deadlines, and being an active Producer for the team.

I was appointed Digital manager for Waves 96.1 where I have learned how to build a team based on trust and respect, collaborate on differing ideas, and work together to create on-brand, high-quality, engaging content.

A wise person once said “Choose a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” - and boy that couldn’t be more true.
