Kia ora, you’ve probably heard me on the very popular Waves96.1! Wait, you haven’t. Have you been living under a rock?

If you have been living under said rock, my name is Abby, and I’m the Production Manager at Waves96.1. I’ve been learning a lot about Protools this year, and since having no background in sound production, I’ve picked up the tools very quickly and have found out I have a real passion for manipulating sound to create stories that evoke emotion. 

I’m also a part of the breakfast team; this has brought out a confidence I didn’t know I had. With my newfound confidence, I have been able to put myself out there and take on more responsibility roles and new opportunities! 

Some of these opportunities include working as a promotional assistant/brand ambassador within the radio industry. I have loved every learning experience this has given me, plus I have now experienced what the radio industry is like, and I’m sure this is where I want to be.
